Samsung’s highly anticipated launch event for the Samsung Galaxy S4 is drawing near, and the rumour mill is going wild…
Following on from the huge success of the Galaxy S3 last year, Samsung are preparing for the launch of the most keenly awaited handset of the year so far; the Samsung Galaxy S4.
While Samsung are keeping their cards very close to their chest over what will be featured in the new handset, a few bits of information have been circulating the internet which seem pretty credible.
It seems the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available at launch in black and white only, and will feature a 5″ 1080p screen, 13MP camera and the ubiquitous Snapdragon S4 processor clocking in at 1.7GHz. 2GB RAM will hopefully give the handset a powerful punch when it comes to speed and multitasking.

LATEST – An anonymous Samsung employee has suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S IV will feature EyeScroll technology (the term is being trademarked by Samsung). It’s likely that this will be an evolution of the SmartStay technology used in the SIII; could it be that the handset will sense when we want to read further and move accordingly?
LATEST – Screenshots purporting to show SmartStay in the S4’s settings menu have surfaced and are currently being widely distributed on the net. SmartPause have also made an appearance, apparently being a clever feature that will pause a playing video if you glance away. Sources are being fiercely protected, so it may be wise to take this with a pinch of salt, but it’s not uncommon for details such as these to leak with Samsung, and the tech sounds like something they would develop off the back of the SmartStay in the S3…
Other details are still quite sketchy, but as the launch event draws closer, we’re sure to hear more about what to expect.
The launch will take place in Time Square in New York on 14th March 2013.
